In 2022 we are returning to a largely in-person meeting with virtual elements including a livestream of the entire scientific program of the FPM Symposium and ASM which will then be available to watch as catch up for 12 months post the meeting on the OnAIR virtual event platform. We encourage attendance in person to reconnect with your colleagues and enjoy the face-to-face learning experience but are also offering the virtual experience for those who, for whatever reason, are unable to come to Perth.
Our theme for the day is “Adapting” where we’ll not only explore challenging topics such as headache and orofacial pain, but also look at our developing profession and how we support future pain specialists with education and wellbeing. In addition, there’ll be a session devoted to the intriguing field of the intersection between pain medicine and rehabilitation.
We’re excited to welcome our two FPM international speakers, Professor Bart Morlion and Professor Claudia Sommer, presenting virtually from Belgium and Germany respectively.
As the president of the European Pain Federation and director of the UZ Leuven Centre for Pain Management, Professor Morlion will share his experience and wisdom with his talk on managing our legacy patients. Professor Sommer, a professor of neurology at University of Wuerzburg, is a world expert on headaches and neuropathic pain. We look forward to her presentation, an update on migrainous headaches. Speakers from Australia will attend and present live in-person, completing a well-rounded program.
We truly have a program to satisfy delegates of all backgrounds and interests, and look forward to seeing you on the day to share this with us.
