Airway Management Special Interest Group ASM satellite Meeting

“Answers to the BIG AIRWAY questions”

On behalf of the Airway Management Special Interest Group, we take great pleasure inviting you to the 2017 Airway Management SIG Meeting.

Wednesday May 10 to Thursday May 11
The program will cover the following topics in sessions: “The law and you”, “Difficult airway crisis management”, “Supraglottic airway devices”, “Advances in airway management”, “The anaesthetist under the gun” and “Debates on airway management”.

Friday May 12
A full day of airway workshops will be offered to acquire essential skills in airway management. The workshops will be held in conjunction with the ANZCA ASM.

We are happy to have a number of world-renown keynote speakers including Dr Mark Stacey Consultant Obstetric Anaesthetist and Associate Dean, UK; Dr Peter Groom from Aintree Difficult Airway Management, UK; Professor Carin Hagberg former president of the Difficult Airway Society, USA and Professor Ellen O’Sullivan President of the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland.

In addition, several of our national speakers will present high-calibre, interesting lectures, which will give you more insight in the latest developments regarding difficult airways and help you serve our patients to provide optimal care.

Life in Queensland is never boring. The social program is exciting for everybody, with Southbank as a vibrant venue and the conference dinner to be held along the Brisbane River at Gusto da Gianni Hamilton.
