What’s next? It is time to celebrate, time to get dressed up in the ANZCA and FPM gown, and time to make your family and friends proud of your tremendous achievements!
The College Ceremony will be held on Saturday May 2, 2020 commencing at 6pm in the Riverside Theatre at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC), followed by the Welcome Reception, State Buildings.
We recognise this is an important time so we have prepared some information to assist you in planning for your big day.
College Ceremony details
Room: Riverside Theatre, level two Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Start time: 6pm, new fellows will be required to be seated in their allocated seat no later than 5.40pm.
Finish time: The College Ceremony is expected to finish at 7.30pm.
Eligibility to present at the College Ceremony
Fellows who have received their fellowship within the past two years are eligible to present at the College Ceremony. However, if it is a little more than two years, get in contact with the events team as we would still love to see you present in Perth.
As a new fellow you are entitled to reduced registration at the ASM for the year that you present at the College Ceremony. Please note that attendance at workshops, masterclasses, small group discussions, breakfast and lunchtime sessions will be an additional expense on top of your discounted registration fee. Further information on how to register is below.
Attire for the College Ceremony
Dress: Dinner suit for males, formal attire for females, and a college/faculty gown. It is a requirement of presentation that you wear a gown.
Gown hire: There is a limited number of gowns available to hire upon registration, please register early to ensure you secure a gown. When registering, please select to hire a gown at this time. New fellows are unable to present unless they are wearing a gown.
Gown hire cost: $A88 per gown.
Gown hire collection: Gowns can be collected between 10am-3pm at the ANZCA information desk. Gowns are to be returned back to the ANZCA information desk on Sunday May 3 by 4pm.
Alternatively, you may be able to borrow a gown from a fellow within your region or purchase your own gown by completing the gown form below:

You will not be able to present at the College Ceremony without a gown.
College Ceremony rehearsal
All new fellows presenting at the College Ceremony are required to attend a rehearsal where we will run through the proceedings for the College Ceremony and any questions can be answered.
Rehearsal time: 12.15-12.45pm on Saturday May 2, 2020.
Rehearsal location: Riverside Theatre, level two, PCEC.
This is your chance to celebrate and be welcomed as a new fellow of your college, catch up with friends and colleagues at this culinary event.
Welcome Reception location: State Buildings, 28 Barrack Street (corner St Georges Terrace) Perth, a short 15-minute walk.
Family and friends: As a new fellow you are entitled to a complimentary ticket for yourself and an accompanying partner. Additional tickets can be purchased for $A150 for adults and $A15 per child (3-12 years).
Dress: College/faculty gown and cocktail or dinner suit for guests.
Register for the College Ceremony
Registration will open on November 15.
Please ensure you are registered by Monday March 2, 2020. This will ensure your name is included in the College Ceremony handbook.
All new fellows who intend to present at the College Ceremony, must register to attend the ASM. As a new fellow presenting at the College Ceremony, you are offered a discounted rate for your ASM registration (75% of full fee).
Please ensure you select the “ASM new fellow registration” category, and “presenting at the College Ceremony”. At this time, you may also register your family members to attend the College Ceremony.
Live streaming of the College Ceremony
We understand it is not possible for everyone to attend so we will be live streaming the College Ceremony via the Facebook Live platform so your family and friends can share in your special moment from wherever they are in the world. All you need to do is ensure that you follow the ANZCA Facebook page and keep an eye out for the live feed from 6pm. The recording will be available on Facebook for a limited time after the ASM.
The official photographer is available to capture formal portraits both before and after the College Ceremony. The photographer’s studios will be set up out the front of Riverside Theatre of the PCEC. The studios will be open from 3pm. To avoid delays we encourage you to have your photo taken prior to the College Ceremony. Print sizes and prices of photographs will be sent to you directly once registered for the College Ceremony.
