Crèche available for delegates

In 2017, for the first time, ANZCA is able to make available the services of CHARLTON BROWN®, a professional childcare provider, to delegates attending the 2017 ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Brisbane.

CHARLTON BROWN® will run an onsite crèche at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) as well as offering discounted nanny rates for 2017 ANZCA ASM delegates who would like care for their children offsite. This is an independent service separate from the College.

The crèche and the nanny service are both offered as pilots in 2017 following feedback from delegates at previous ASMs.

An evaluation will be conducted post the ASM to determine satisfaction with the service offered and whether it met the needs of delegates.

The onsite crèche will be on the ground floor of the BCEC in the ground floor foyer. It will be signposted and you will also be shown the location at time of registration.

The size of the room accommodates 25 children and as such spaces will be limited.

Friday May 12 through to Tuesday May 16.

The crèche will open at 8.00am and close at 5.30pm.

Care will be offered as follows:

• Morning session: 8.30am to 12.30pm.
• Afternoon session: 1.00pm to 5.30pm.
• All day: 8.30am to 5.30pm.

The crèche will also operate on the evening of the College Ceremony, Saturday May 13 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. Separate charges will apply for this session at $30-$35 per child.

The crèche will not be open for:

• Social and/or optional activities.
• The College Reception.

Onsite crèche:

• $55 half day care (up to 4 hours).
• $65 full day care (up to 8 hours).
• A 5% discount for siblings participating in the crèche.

Nanny services:
10% discounted rate for babysitting as a ‘friend of ANZCA': $100 for the first three hours of care booked or $34.50 per hour thereafter (this includes the nanny wage, tax, super and insurance).

• There is no agency registration fee payable by ANZCA delegates.
• All payments are to be made through to CHARLTON BROWN®.
• Cancellation fees will apply.

Bookings will be made directly through CHARLTON BROWN®.

It is recommended that places are pre-booked prior to attending the ASM as drop in places may not be available at the time you need and cannot be guaranteed.

An activity plan will be posted on the CHARLTON BROWN® website and also displayed daily at the entrance to the crèche.

Outside activities will be offered and will be subject to weather conditions.

Permission slips will be required for all outdoor activities.

• Child’s hat, change of clothes (if required).
• Sunscreen to be applied for outings.
• Water bottle.
• Any additional requirements pertaining to allergies, medications to be included in child’s back pack on the day and must be labelled with your child’s name.
• Please remember to label all personal items.

• A selection of games, toys and resources for activities.
• A sandwich lunch will be provided daily.
• Fruit snacks.

Children with allergies or specific food requirements are advised to bring their own food and this should be clearly marked with the child’s name.

Childcare is available to delegates independently of ANZCA and delegates use the onsite crèche at their own risk and having done their own due diligence and accept responsibility for the contractual arrangement between themselves and CHARLTON BROWN®. ANZCA accepts no responsibility for the services offered by CHARLTON BROWN®.

Delegates will book places for the crèche directly with CHARLTON BROWN®.

The onsite crèche is only available to delegates attending sessions at the 2017 ANZCA ASM.

Delegates are required to remain onsite at the BCEC and be easily contactable.
