Important information for delegates attending an ENGAGE hub

▪ Attendees should stay home if unwell, and if you display coronavirus (COVID-19) related symptoms such as loss or change in sense of smell or taste, fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and runny nose get tested.
▪ All visitors will be required to sign in via QR Code on arrival
▪ All delegates must provide proof of event registration to access the venue – please ensure you bring your confirmation of registration email with you.
▪ All visitors are aware proof of entry and completed QR code will be checked on entry to the venue.
▪ Venues will enforce health and safety measures as a condition of entry to the venue.
▪ Venues reserve the right to refuse entry to any persons who are disorderly, or display unlawful or offensive behaviour. Any person who causes a disturbance may be removed from the venue
▪ Delegates are encouraged to wear a mask when a distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained

If you are attending the Melbourne ENGAGE hub at the MCEC
To manage the risk of COVID-19 transmission throughout the venue and strengthen contact tracing capabilities, MCEC has been divided into 3 zones/buildings; each with its own dedicated QR code.
The entry and exit points throughout the venue to help manage physical distancing and maintain sanitisation stations and temperature screening. The following entry and exit points will be open:

• Lobby Door B (MCC)
• Lobby Door C (MCC)
• Car Park Door 6 (MEC)

The entry/exit points for delegates and the closest car park is:
• Siddeley Street Car Park – closest to Lobby Door B & C
• Exhibition Centre Car Park – closest to Car Park Door 6

What is ‘Super Saturday?’

• During the day the hub will open from 9.30am-5pm AEST with access to two additional morning sessions and the afternoon program, all broadcast on the big screen. Program details here.
• A pre-function area for you to watch other morning sessions on your own laptop and network with your community
• A distinctly Melbourne hamper as a door prize will be drawn at each hub during the day valued at $250. You must be there, to be in it, to win it!
• A Photo booth will be available in most hubs* to create a social media campaign focused on “Super Saturday” with dedicated ASM messages
• In the evening the hub will open for the College Ceremony which will commence at 6pm (AEST) and delegates with tickets to the ceremony can remain in the ‘Super Saturday’ hub in their region before the College Ceremony commences at 6pm.

For those that have booked in on the Friday and Sunday, you will be contacted directly in regards to refunds of your payment to attend an ENGAGE Hub on the Friday and Sunday and to introduce you to ‘Super Saturday’ on 1 May.

When will the Melbourne ENGAGE hub be open?
Exact opening hours and days will depend on how many delegates we have attending, so we need you to register! At present we have the following in place:

Friday 30 April, 6-9pm AEST (confirmed)
6-6.30pm – Arrive in time to enjoy refreshments and connect with colleagues
6.30-8.30pm – Official opening of the 2021 ANZCA ASM followed by the opening plenary

Saturday 1 May, 9.30am-9.30pm AEST (confirmed)
9.30am-5pm – Refreshments and plenary sessions two and three
The venue will be closed from 5-6pm for the changeover to set up for the College Ceremony.
6-8.30pm – College Ceremony*

Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the College Ceremony.

Sunday 2 May, 1.30-8.30pm AEST (confirmed)
1.30-8pm – Refreshments and plenary sessions for Gilbert Brown Prize Session 2020 and 2021, plenary session five and concurrent session Acute Pain Management: Scientific Evidence 2020 – The tastiest morsels from the editors

Monday 3 May, 5-7pm AEST (confirmed)
5.30-7pm – Refreshments and QandANZCA session. Be part of ASM@night.

Tuesday 4 May, 5-9pm AEST (confirmed)
5.30-9pm – Refreshments, plenary six and closing plenary. Be part of the final ASM@night!
