Professor Tess Cramond College Ceremony Oration

The Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO

Professor Tess Cramond AO OBE was an ANZCA Fellow and proud Queenslander. She was an innovator in rescue and resuscitation techniques and a pioneer of expired air resuscitation. ANZCA and the Brisbane ASM Regional Organising Committee are proud to name the 2017 College Ceremony Oration in her honour and in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the community.

The College Ceremony is the formal presentation ceremony of new Fellows for ANZCA and FPM. Join us to celebrate this milestone and welcome our newest colleagues and to acknowledge, through the presentations of awards and medals, the exceptional contributions to our field of medicine.

New Fellows for presentation are asked to attend the rehearsal at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, where we will run through the proceedings for the ceremony and answer any questions.

FPM Trainee and New Fellow Luncheon

Cost: Inclusive for FPM trainee and new Fellows (within five years of fellowship).

All FPM trainees and new Fellows within five years of fellowship are invited to attend a luncheon and meet well-known names in the Australasian pain medicine community.

College Ceremony Reception

Entrance will be via Stanley Place.

Cost: Inclusive for ANZCA/FPM full, new Fellow, two-day registration selected on Saturday and retired registrants.
Additional tickets: $A120 per person. $A15 per child (3-12 years).
Dress: Stage party: Black tie and College/Faculty gown or academic dress.
New Fellows: College/Faculty gown is required.
Guest: Cocktail or dinner suit.

OperaQ will share a vision of a boundless landscape of opera experiences to reflect the richness, expanse and diversity of both the operatic art form and Queensland itself during the College Ceremony Reception.

Additional tickets: $A45 (To adhere to the Medicines Australia code of conduct children and non-medical patrons will not be permitted to purchase tickets or enter the exhibition area).

A cocktail reception will be held in the exhibition area to acknowledge the generous support of the healthcare industry.
Come for a drink before heading out to explore the Brisbane nightlife.

Come to the ANZCA Research Foundation’s cocktail party in the fabulous Skyroom and Terrace overlooking the city skyline. Relax, mingle, and enjoy drinks, canapes and music amid expansive views of Brisbane before hearing from some the world’s leading anaesthesia and pain medicine researchers. Foundation chair Dr Genevieve Goulding will share the foundation’s new strategic focus, announce a significant new bequest and research award, and introduce an exciting keynote speaker who will share the latest developments in ANZCA’s recognised world-leading anaesthesia and perioperative research program.
