In addition to this year’s exciting line-up of optional activities, a list of must do activities to help you make the most of your time in Kuala Lumpur has been crafted. Check out the suggestions below and stay tuned for more suggestions in the coming weeks.
Royal Selangor Golf Club
The Royal Selangor Golf Club is a golf course in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Established in 1893, it is one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia. The club is open only to members. Its entrance is located at the intersection of Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Tun Razak, the latter of which runs along the length of the club. Gather a group of friends and colleagues and enjoy a round of golf!
Hotel Majestic High Tea
Fancy yourself a tea drinker? Then make sure you check out the famous high tea at the Hotel Majestic whilst in Kuala Lumpur!
The elegant Tea Lounge in the Majestic Wing is open to the breezes off the lawn fronting the hotel. The old-fashioned grid ceilings feature classic cut-glass lighting with antique brass fittings. Cosy arrays of comfortable arm chairs with subdued lighting from table lamps provide the perfect setting for English afternoon tea with a Malaysian twist.
Run along KLCC Park
If you are a keen runner, how about gathering a few friends to run along the KLCC Park. Designed by Roberto Burle Marx, it was aimed to provide a touch of greenery for the Petronas Twin Towers and the areas surrounding it. On the park grounds is a 10,000 square-metre manmade lake (Lake Symphony) with a 43 metre bridge that cuts across. KLCC Park has over 1900 indigenous trees from 74 species; 40 of these trees were transplanted from the former Selangor Turf Club racecourse, which lies to the southeast of the city. Enjoy a run in beautiful scenery.
