ANZCA ASM Brisbane 3-7 May 2024:

College Ceremony FAQs

To keep you in the loop, we have started a frequently asked question page for the 2024 ANZCA and FPM College Ceremony.

Can’t find the answer to your query here?
If you can’t find the answer to your query in any of these FAQs then please email us at asm@anzca.edu.au. We aim to respond to your email within two working days. We will respond to emails in the order in which they are received.

When and where will the 2024 ANZCA and FPM College Ceremony be held?

The ceremony will be held on Saturday 4 May in the Great Hall at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) from 6pm AEST. New fellows will be required to be seated in their allocated seat no later than 5.40pm. The College Ceremony is expected to conclude at approximately 8pm AEST.

Am I eligible to present as a new fellow at the 2024 College Ceremony?

Fellows who have received their fellowship within the past two years are eligible to present at the College Ceremony. However, if it is a little more than two years, get in contact with the events team as we would still love to see you present in Brisbane. Fellows who were eligible to present in 2023 will automatically be eligible to present in 2024, regardless of whether it has been more than two years since receiving their fellowship.

Do I need a gown to be presented at the College Ceremony?

Yes, it is a requirement of presentation that you wear a gown. There is a limited number of gowns available to hire upon registration, please register early to ensure you secure a gown. When registering, please select to hire a gown at this time. New fellows are unable to present unless they are wearing a gown.

My family/friends are unable to travel to Brisbane to attend the ceremony. Will they be able to watch the ceremony online?

We understand it is not possible for everyone to attend so we will be live streaming the College Ceremony via the Facebook Live platform so your family and friends can share in your special moment from wherever they are in the world. All you need to do is ensure that they follow the ANZCA Facebook page and keep an eye out for the live feed from 6pm AEST. The recording will be available on Facebook for a limited time after the ASM.
