Children in the healthcare industry area

The healthcare industry (HCI) exhibition is available to ASM delegates to network, to learn more about medical devices and pharmaceutical/health practices and innovations, and to engage with presentations and presenters.

We’re committed to creating a safe and productive environment for all people who attend and support our major meetings. We also acknowledge that the HCI is an extremely busy space with catering, medical equipment and a large number of people.

For delegates who are attending the meeting with a baby, we understand that you may need and want to have your baby with you, especially during morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks.

With this in mind, if your baby can be held in your arms, in a carrier or in a pram, then access to the HCI exhibition is open to you. Unfortunately, the HCI exhibition can’t accommodate children who cant be carried or wheeled in a pram.

Parent/carer facilities are provided onsite to support caregivers and children.

If you’re at the ANZCA ASM and need support or assistance, please come and see one of the ANZCA in-house event team membersWe’re here to help.

Will there be a creche at the 2026 ANZCA ASM?

Unfortunately, creche facilities for the 2026 ANZCA ASM in Auckland will not be available.

Since COVID, the number of childcare companies willing to provide offsite services has decreased significantly. Insurance and risk management, costs, availability and quality of staff and provision of equipment have all been provided by companies as the reasons why they would not provide an offsite service outside their centre.

The safety of the children using a creche at a college meeting has and always will be a top priority for us. If we cannot guarantee this safety or the quality of a provider, we believe it in the best interests of delegates and their children that we do not provide such a service.
