The FPM Trainee and New Fellow lunch is a welcoming event for all FPM trainees and new fellows to meet and socialise with each other, senior colleagues, FPM visiting speakers, and key faculty leaders. Hear from the FPM trainee representative and FPM dean who will provide updates on current initiatives and developments within the program. Got a question about the training program? Want to chat to new fellows about current trainee matters? You’ve come to the right place!

Cost: Inclusive for all registrants and their guests. No ticket is required to attend the College Ceremony; however, additional guest tickets must be purchased for the welcome reception that follows.

The College Ceremony is the formal presentation ceremony of new ANZCA and FPM fellows. Join us to celebrate this milestone and welcome our newest colleagues. We also acknowledge, through the presentations of awards and medals, the exceptional contributions to our fields of medicine.

Dress code:
New fellows – Formal/lounge suit or formal attire and college/faculty gown.
Stage party – Formal/lounge suit or formal attire and college/faculty gown or academic dress.
Guests – Formal/lounge suit or formal attire.

Cost: Inclusive for delegates registered under Full, Trainee, New Fellow and Retired Fellow categories only. New fellow registrants are entitled to one additional complimentary ticket.

Additional ticket: $A35 per child (3-12 years) or $A160 per adult (13 years or older).

Join us as we raise a glass to celebrate and warmly welcome our new fellows! It’s an evening of camaraderie, excitement, and the beginning of a new journey. This evening is sure to be filled with great conversation, delicious food, local craft beer, and entertainment. It’s a chance for all of us to come together, share stories, and forge new connections.

The Emerging Leaders Networking Reception is an opportunity for all past ELC participants and any emerging leaders to come together to reminisce on their experience.

This networking reception will take place following the ELC alumni session (running from 3.30-4.30pm).

Cost: Inclusive for current and past SIMGs and SIMG Supervisors.

This event is for current and past SIMGs to network, reconnect, and share their experiences. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with fellow SIMGs and make new acquaintances in a relaxed setting. Join us at the ANZCA Foundation reception to celebrate the latest achievements of fellows and trainees in research and health equity, made possible by the foundation’s support. Join us for the Equity in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine Breakfast, an event dedicated to promoting inclusivity and equitable practices in anaesthesia and pain medicine. Enjoy a delicious breakfast while connecting with professionals and advocates as we explore innovative strategies to address disparities in care. Engage in insightful discussions, hear from expert speakers, and network with peers committed to creating a more equitable healthcare environment.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Your registration includes a plated breakfast, and seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Looking for a more relaxed way to spend the evening? Join us at Mother Vine Wine Bar for a seated three-course dinner with all-inclusive drinks.

Mother Vine is located within the East End Cellars precinct, so you’ll still be immersed in the energy and excitement of the Street Party, while enjoying a more intimate dining experience away from the crowds.

This event is open to everyone and is capped at 70 participants.

Note: Guests must be aged 18 or over to participate in this event.

Getting there:
Travelling from Adelaide CBD hotels to Mother Vine is quick and easy using Adelaide’s free city tram service. We recommend allowing around 15-20 min total travel time, depending on your walking distance to the nearest tram stop.

Get to Mother Vine Wine Bar by tram:

Make your way to the Adelaide Railway Station tram stop (adjacent to the Adelaide Convention Centre), or the nearest city tram stop to your hotel.
Board any eastbound tram travelling towards Botanic Gardens (BTANIC).
Remain on the tram for approximately 10min and disembark at the Botanic Gardens tram stop.
From the tram stop, it’s a short 2min walk to Mother Vine Wine Bar.

Return to CBD hotels by tram:

Make your way back to the Botanic Gardens tram stop.
Board any westbound tram(BTANIC) travelling towards Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Remain on the tram for approximately 10min and disembark at the Adelaide Railway Station tram stop, or alight at the stop closest to your hotel.

Join us for the biggest social event of the week as we take over the East End Cellars precinct and transform it into the ASM’s first ever street party.

Immerse yourself in a vibrant festival-style celebration with something happening around every corner. Indulge in a feast of live food stations featuring fan favourites, accompanied by an all-inclusive drinks package. Make sure you head to El Cheeky Flamingo later in the evening to grab yourself a cocktail and take the stage for karaoke as the party continues.

The street will come alive with a DJ, roaming magicians, and spectacular fire twirlers lighting up the night. Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready for an unforgettable night!
