Lectures, breakfast and lunchtime sessions as ‘Learning sessions’ at one credit per hour.
Online interactive webinars and workshops as ‘Short format learning’ at two credits per hour.
Emergency responses activities
Where the outline of a workshop states that the workshop satisfies an Emergency Response CPD requirement, the workshop will be prospectively recognised as suitable to be claimed as an emergency response activity. This refers to workshops covering management of cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, major haemorrhage, can’t intubate and can’t oxygenate (CICO) or acute severe behavioural disturbance (ASBD) in the adult patient.
Practice evaluation category
Attendance at the “W45A Building Aboriginal cultural competency” can be claimed under the practice evaluation ‘Cultural competency’ activity as two credits per hour.
Attendance at “W71A and W71B Preoperative fasting: Adult patients undergoing elective surgery – what is occurring in your practice?” can be claimed under the practice evaluation ‘clinical audit’ activity at 20 credits.
Please note, the online interactive webinars and workshops sessions will not be recorded. You will need to register and attend in real time to gain CPD. Active participation is encouraged to gain the most out of the session.
Can I claim CPD for viewing content post-meeting?
Post-meeting content viewing will need to be manually updated to your CPD portfolio. Participants of the ANZCA and FPM CPD program may claim time spent on online learning under the Knowledge and Skills ‘Learning sessions’ at one credit per hour.
When recording completion in your CPD portfolio, suitable evidence could be a certificate of attendance/participation/completion, written confirmation of registration or screen shot of online resources.
